Jamesina, Basant, and I went to Lake cave. It took half an hour to
just find the entrance. We were thinking of going to Ape cave
afterwards but we were too tired and it was getting late (11pm) by the
time we came out.

Kim, Paul, and I went to Lake cave. A mile of walking inside a big
lava tube. Some breakdowns. One 10 ft fall in the begining. Another 5
or 6 ft fall about 10 minutes into the cave. Other than that nice
walking in the tube. Paul and I did a half an hour crawl into one of
the side water/erosion passages and saw some dead trees that have
turned into charcoal.

I tagged along with bunch of people to map a cave that hadn't been
mapped. I am not allowed to say where this cave is but I will say it
is somewhere close to Cougar, Washington. Here are some pictures from
the trip. Lavasicles and lavadrops on the crawlway you see on the
picture will tell you why this is not a public tourist cave.
