Better Pictures of Mom and Dad

My Mom :

She is a very sweet innocent mom. There was a time when all I needed to do to convince her for anything was hang around her neck and say "sweet mummy, puleeese mummy, sweet mummy... " ten times and she would melt. She's always worried about me, still tells me to wear a muffler and go out if its cold. Prolly she'll never realize I've grown up in the last ten years. She knows what colors I like and what foods I like, sometimes even better than me!! She can cook coconut chatni like no one earth.

She is an artist, has won several awards, including a national award from Dr. Venkataraman (then vice-president of India). She puts her painting exhibitions annually. I remeber I used to be pest, cry a lot and always used to bother her when she used to paint. Always used to complain that she leaves me alone and goes to paint and I am bored. Her dedication is amazing.

She has started to learn to play Sitar since the last few years. Dad used to make fun of her all the time when she used to play. These days he tells me she plays well.

My mom also sings pretty decently, she sings at every Durga Puja festival, she has absolutely no stage fear!!!

I miss her.

My Dad:

He is a fantastic person and a wonderful human being. He has experienced so many things in his life and done so many things and still has so much enthusiasm that he amazes me. He is a scientist, an experimental nuclear physicist. He was key to building the cyclotron at BARC, Calcutta. He was a workoholic and my mom would complain all the time.

He writes some poetry in telugu, and some songs too. My mom sings those songs at functions.

He loves to drive and has driven the length and breath of the US literally. He has also driven a lot in India. He can drive non-stop for days if you keep feeding him timely.

Ofcourse there is a generation gap between us and his views donot exactly match mine many a times, but thats not his fault ha ha.
